TERMS AND CONDITIONS
1. Period of Let
The cottages are let for holiday purposes, on a weekly basis between
arrival Saturday at 3.30 pm and departure the following Saturday
at 10.00 am. The number of persons occupying the cottage must
not exceed the number for which the cottage has been let.
2. Booking and Payment
The Booking Form must be accompanied by your Initial Payment for
each week booked. The Initial Payment required for each week is
shown beneath the Holiday Rental price overleaf. Please note that
this Initial Payment is non-returnable if you cancel your holiday.
Following confirmation by Norsehaven of your booking, you become
liable for the full balance of the Holiday Rental, and the Fuel/Damages
deposit, not later than 56 days prior to your holiday, failing
which, we reserve the right to retain the Initial Payment and
to invoice you for the Holiday Rental balance if we are unable
to re-let the cottage.
Holiday Rental sums paid are non-returnable in the event of you
being unable for whatever reason to take your holiday.
3. Fuel/Damages Deposit
On payment of the Holiday Rental balance, you must include a Fuel/Damages
deposit of 00 for each week booked. This sum will be returned
at the end of your holiday, less the following deductions:
a) The cost of electricity used as recorded by the Hydro Board
meters at Cranstackie and Craigmor, or oil used at Ceannabeinne.
b) Any expenses incurred by your failure to leave the Cottage
in a clean and reasonable condition.
c) The cost of replacing any items broken or damaged during your
holiday. Please note that any damages in excess of your 00 deposit
will be invoiced to you at cost.
4. Cleaning and
Linen
The cottage will have been cleaned and checked prior to your arrival
but it is your responsibility to leave the cottage in a clean
and undamaged condition on your departure. We expect guests with
pets to take particular care in this respect.
Please notify us immediately of any items damaged or found to
be faulty during your stay so as to enable us to rectify any problems
prior to the arrival of our next holidaymaker.
We provide all bedding, duvets etc. with freshly washed covers,
pillow cases and bottom sheets. You will need your own bath and
hand towels.
5. Insurance
We strongly recommend that you take out holiday insurance to cover
the loss or damage to personal effects and the cost of cancellation
due to illness, etc.
Our cottages are fully insured but we can in no circumstances
be held liable for any loss or damage to holidaymakersoperty,
or any injury caused through the holidaymakerÕs personal
negligence.
6. Exceptional Weather Conditions
During, or as a result of exceptional weather or similar conditions,
we cannot be held responsible for the failure of essential services
such as heating, electricity and water supply. However, in such
circumstances, we will do everything possible to minimise any
inconvenience caused.
7. Right of Entry
We reserve the right of entry to the cottage for ourselves or
our agents at any time.
